Message from our President

Higher education remains in the midst of a profound transformation. Every component of higher education (what is delivered, how it is delivered, to whom and at what cost) continues to be under scrutiny and impacts change within and throughout universities across the country. Actually, such transformation has opened up unprecedented opportunities for universities to rethink how best to educate and develop the next generation of global leaders, prepare workforce talent, and address community and global challenges.

Through the new Ascension Strategic Plan, many significant goals will be realized; however, there are two critical goals that are paramount: 1) Integrate Florida Memorial into the greater community and 2) elevate the prominence of the university on a global level.   Additionally, FMU shall continually assess our environment, strengthen our foundation and uphold our mission and commitment to our students, faculty, staff, and community.  This obligation is based on our belief that we provide hope and opportunity to thousands of hard-working students and their families who know that a university education can make a clear difference in the quality of their lives..
